Privacy Policy
How we look after your details at The Bitcoin Table.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
The short version
- We collect your name, email, payment status and how you use the site, so we can run your membership.
- Payments go through Kajabi and Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- We only send marketing emails if you say yes, and you can unsubscribe any time.
- Some of our providers are in the United States, so your details are stored there.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your details by emailing us.
The full policy below is what counts. This summary helps you find your way around it.
1Who we are
This policy covers The Bitcoin Table, run by The Trustee for Evolve Sanctuary Retreat Trust (trustee Pete Evans Cook With Love Pty Ltd, ABN 99 204 984 831), trading as The Bitcoin Table (“we”, “us”). We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988, and for visitors in the EU and UK we follow the main GDPR rules.
Contact for anything about your privacy: pete@peteevanschef.com.
2What we collect
- Your details: name and email address when you start a trial, join, sign up for emails or become a Partner.
- Payment details: handled by our payment providers (Kajabi and Stripe). We see your name, the plan and payment status. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your account activity: lessons you finish, meal plans you save and emails you open, so the site works and we can improve it.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies (see section 7).
- Messages you send us: emails and support requests.
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we will never ask for your seed words, private keys or passwords. Please don’t send us any.
3Why we collect it
- To give you your trial and membership and run your account.
- To take payments and send receipts and renewal reminders.
- To send our emails and the Daily Table, if you’ve said yes.
- To answer your questions and keep the site safe from fraud and misuse.
- To pay Partners their commission for people they refer.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
For EU and UK visitors, our legal bases are: providing the service you asked for (contract), your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (security and improving the site), and legal obligations (tax records).
4Marketing emails and unsubscribing
We only send marketing emails, including the Daily Table, if you tick the box to say yes. The box always starts unticked.
Every email shows who it is from and has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect within 5 business days, and usually straight away. We’ll still send emails you need about your account, such as receipts and renewal reminders.
5Who we share it with
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Kajabi (USA): hosts our website, membership, checkout and emails.
- Stripe (USA and other countries): processes payments.
- Our email provider (USA): sends our emails, if separate from Kajabi.
- Zapier (USA): connects our tools, for example to unlock member features after payment.
- Analytics and advertising tools, only if you accept those cookies.
- Our accountant and authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell your details or share member lists. We don’t publish member stories or details.
6Sending information overseas
Most of the services above are in the United States, so your details are stored and handled there. Before we use a service, we check that it has strong privacy and security protections. For EU and UK visitors, these providers use approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and make checkout work. With your permission, we may also use analytics or advertising cookies to see which pages help people most.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and change your mind any time. Your browser settings can also block or delete cookies. More detail is in our Cookie Policy.
8How long we keep it
We keep account details while you’re a member and for a reasonable time after, so you can come back. We keep payment and tax records for 7 years, as Australian law requires. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
9Keeping it safe
Your details sit with well-known providers that use encryption and strong security. Only people who need access to run The Bitcoin Table have it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
10Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. EU and UK visitors can also ask us to limit or object to how we use their details, or to send them a copy in a common format. Email pete@peteevanschef.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. There’s no charge.
You can withdraw consent for marketing or cookies at any time. We may need to keep some records the law requires, such as payment records.
11Children
The Bitcoin Table is for people 18 and older to hold an account. We don’t knowingly collect details from children. If you think a child has given us their details, please tell us and we’ll delete them.
12Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, please email pete@peteevanschef.com first. We’ll reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. EU and UK visitors can contact their local data protection authority.
13Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in an important way, we’ll update the date at the top and email members. The latest version is always on this page.
